Lady Tigers get a much-needed win

After Alpena defeated Green Forest 13-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-10 Monday, the Lady Tigers looked to bounce back with a win on Tuesday against the Flippin Lady Bobcats. The Lady Tigers bounced back in a big way, winning 25-9, 25-9, 25-12.

In the first set, Carley Chicas had 11 aces and Kelby Harness had three kills to set the tone early. Rachael Evans followed that up in the second set with five aces. Chicas added three more kills. Cheyann Eagleson had three aces and Chicas added four kills in the third set.

For the match, Chicas served up 12 aces and Evans added six more. Chicas and Harness each had 10 digs. Jennifer Newberry and Cheyann Eagleson each had eight. Chicas had nine kills and Harness had six.

Green Forest (6-3) travels to Cotter on Monday.
