Volunteers preparing for Bible Reading Marathon

Tuesday, February 17, 2015

Volunteers are delivering packets to area sponsors to encourage them to respond again for a successful Carroll County Bible Reading Marathon, to be held May 3-7 on the Square in Green Forest.

Pray, Plan and Participate are the three steps to ensure the marathon success. Weekly prayer meeting for early risers is at 7 a.m. each Friday at the Senior Center in Berryville. The second time of prayer is the second and fourth Thursday at the home of prayer advisor Larry Kirk, 905 Jefferson Ave in Berryville.

Be a part of the "Plan," by volunteering your help at the daytime meeting at 2 p.m. Monday. March 2, at 203 Westridge Ave. in Berryville or the evening meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 9, at the Depot in Green Forest.

Volunteer Peggy Holmes is this year's Reader Scheduler. She can be reached at 870-726-6037 for everyone to schedule just 15 minutes of time to read the Bible on the Square in Green Forest. All churches, businesses and organizations are encouraged to take a "block" of time with four readers per hour. The filling of 90 hours between 4 p.m. Sunday, May 3, and noon Thursday, May 7, is now available on a first-call, first-schedule basis.

"You too can be used by God to magnify His word," says Coordinator Bonnie Roediger.

She can be contacted at 870-350-0865.
