Colbert wins runoff for Carrollton constable

Russell Colbert Sr. was elected constable of Carroll Township in a runoff election Tuesday.

Final, but unofficial, results show Colbert receiving 16 votes (64 percent) while his opponent, Ed Mikesell, received nine votes (36 percent).

Colbert ran as an independent. Mikesell is a Republican.

The Carroll County Election will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, in the County Clerk's Office to review the one provisional ballot that was cast in the runoff and certify the election results.
