ES School District to present annual report to public
EUREKA SPRINGS -- The Eureka Springs School Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21.
School district officials will open the meeting with the annual "Report to the Public" on several areas of school life, which include test scores and school performance, federal programs, school district finances, accreditation status, board training and hours, the Arkansas Comprehensive School Improvement Plan and special education.
After that, the board will convene into regular session and begin by reorganizing with the election of officers and set the time and date for its monthly meetings.
Because none of the open seats was contested and no election was necessary, incumbents will continue on the board, and new board member Glenn Coggeshell will take his seat at the meeting.
Also on the agenda, the board will consider routine annual matters such as the elementary and secondary programs as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and the Parental Involvement Plan. It also will consider the Arkansas School Board Association Model Policy Manual Continuing Service Agreement.
An executive session also is scheduled.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place at the administration building at 147 Greenwood Hollow Road.
