Berryville school board approves budget items
The Berryville School Board approved several budget items at its special called meeting Monday, Sept. 29.
The board approved the operating budget, the special education budget, the federal programs budget and the Act 59 budget. Board members also approved Future Farmers of America's trip to the FFA National Convention. The convention will be held Oct. 28-31, and the trip will cost $7,000, which will be removed from existing FFA funds.
All trips planned for Gift & Talented this school year were approved. The district will pay half from its Gifted & Talented fund with the rest of the funds coming from various fundraisers.
Bridgett Clark, Crystal Eaves and Robin Parker were hired to work in the cafeteria; the board also moved Kandra Davis from teaching firstt grade to being the Elementary School counselor for the remainder of the school year. She will begin her work in the counselor's office Oct. 6.
The board will meet again at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13 in the intermediate cafetorium.
