Lonnie Ray Williams
LONNIE RAY WILLIAMS, a resident of Berryville, Arkansas, was born October 20, 1944 in Berryville, Arkansas, a son of William Everett and Ruth Ellen (Smalley) Williams. He departed this life Monday, July 14, 2014 in Rogers, Arkansas, at the age of 69 years.
Lonnie was a very devout Christian. He worked as a farmer and a horse trader and enjoyed working at the Northwest Arkansas Livestock Auction and did so for many years. He was a member of the Arkansas Cowboy Association and enjoyed being around horses and helping others learn to rope and ride. Most of all, Lonnie loved being with his kids and grandkids and visiting.
On August 8, 1964, Lonnie was united in marriage with Linda Carol (Dotson) Williams who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one daughter, Lisa Marie Anderson and husband Timmy of Green Forest, AR; one son, Lonnie Kevin "Short" Williams and wife Devon of Berryville, AR; two sisters, Eula Dean Allen of Green Forest, AR and Edna and husband Tom Bear of Rogers, AR; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lloyd and Evelyn Dotson of Berryville, AR; three brothers-in-law, Hershal Dotson and wife Penny of Stilwell, OK, Robert Dotson and wife Rita, and Junior Dotson and wife Jenelle all of Berryville, AR; four grandchildren, Tiana Goodson and husband Tyler of Russellville, AR, Treyton Anderson of Green Forest, AR, Kenley Williams and Lexey Williams both of Berryville, AR; several nieces and nephews; and a multitude of other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, William Everett and Ruth Ellen Williams; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Allen and Lonnie Awbrey; and one son-in-law, Tim Doshier.
Visitation was held from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service was at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Living Faith Church with Brother Billy McCall and Brother Billy Williams officiating. Interment followed the service in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to Gideon's International, P.O.
