HISID to look at Lawrence replat request again
HOLIDAY ISLAND -- The Holiday Island Board of Commissioners is set to consider once again a replat request by property owner Joe Lawrence at its upcoming meeting Monday.
Lawrence's request was tabled at the March 17 meeting. He is asking that four lots he owns and a fifth, on which he has a purchase contract, on Woodsdale Drive be consolidated, and his assessments reduced to one lot under Resolution 184, passed in 2005 by the HISID board, to encourage new commercial development.
District Manager Dennis Kelly said Thursday he has solicited an attorney opinion on the issue, which will be presented to the board.
Also on the agenda is the law enforcement contract with the county sheriff and amenity vouchers from Table Rock Landing Time-Shares Association.
The agenda may be revised, Kelly said, to add the golf course maintenance equipment lease vs. purchase option, dependent on receiving interest rates from banks for financing, and a possible update on the report from marketing consultant Jacqueline Wolven, who led a board retreat last month to help generate a strategic plan.
The meeting will take place Monday, April 28, at 9 a.m. at the district office at 110 Woodsdale Dr. The meeting is open to the public.
