Jack Mendenhall of Berryville, went to be with his savior, Jesus, on Sept. 10, 2013 at 91 years of age. Jack entered the Jones and Laughlin Steel Mill west of Pittsburgh, PA at 17 years of age as an electrical appren- tice.
He served two years aboard a Navy mine sweeper in the South Pacific 1943-1945 as an electrician.
Retiring from the mill at 58, he then worked 10 years as a truck mechanic for Beaver County Times.
Married to his high school sweetheart, Dorothy, for 47 years and Ruth Lydia for seven years. He is survived by Virginia Ruth Mendenhall of Berryville.
Jack was a member of the Church of God of Berryville and a supporter of Missionaries in Israel and India.
He is also survived by his son, Jack Junior of Aliquippa, PA; grandson, Todd of Pittsburgh and six step-sons in Arkansas.
