UPDATED INFORMATION: Joe Anthony Gutierrez, who deputies said also goes by Gustavo Cerreon-Cervantes, is Hispanic, 6'1", 250 pounds, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and brown shorts driving a 2009 black Scion TC with chrome wheels, Arkansas license 926SOP. Sheriff's Office says he is considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS and is being sought on charges of kidnapping and attempted murder.

ALPENA -- Sheriff Bob Grudek said police are searching for a man suspected of firing multiple shots at an Alpena gas station in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

Grudek would not release the name of the suspect or many details about the case.

The shooting happened between 2 and 3 a.m., the sheriff said, at the 24-hour gas station near the intersection of Highways 62 and 412, close to the Boone County line.

The suspect was with a female companion, Grudek said, and when she entered the store, the man allegedly fired several shots in her direction, shattering the glass windows of the gas station.

No one was injured in the incident, Grudek said, and police were in the process of securing a warrant for the man's arrest.
