Eureka Springs belted by JC Westside to stay winless in conference

EUREKA SPRINGS -- Eureka Springs dropped to 0-12 overall and 0-11 in 2A-4 West Conference action with two losses to Johnson County Westside Wednesday afternoon at Leatherwood Fields.

The Highlanders suffered a 13-1 loss in the first game while dropping an 8-0 decision int he nightcap.

Logan Redding collected the lone hit for the Highlanders in the opener while Redding, Josh Premeau and Lucas Vasquez recorded hits in the second game.

Dylan Gresham absorbed the loss in Game 2 while Premeau took the loss in the opener. Gresham gave up 13 hits while walking none and striking out six. Premeau fanned three while walking five and surrendering 10 hits.

Johnson County Westside plated four runs in the first and third and five in the second in the first game. The Rebels scored four times in the first and fourth in the second game.

The Highlanders are scheduled to host Decatur Monday.
