'Eureka Gras' organizer addresses area businesses
Attention all local businesses:
Happy New Year! And let the good times roll!
It is the intent of the Krewe of Krazo organizers to appreciate Eureka Springs as holding year-round events with "Eureka Gras" being an element of local citizenry participation in addition to local businesses with the inclusion of neighboring communities being involved.
It is further the intent to promote "Eureka Gras" as the anchor for a Super Mardi Gras celebration in the Ozarks comprising not just Northwest Arkansas but the adjoining states.
As in the case of Mardi Gras along the Gulf Coast states of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas, the celebration is a Carnival of a myriad of activities that are spread over a calendar period from Jan. 1 through February and sometimes to include March -- making those areas prime destination targets for tourism during the Winter Season.
During last year's Eureka Gras there were many statements passed on regarding the economic successes reaped. Let's all take the extra step this year to have Mardi Gras displays in the windows and encouraging store and lodging attendants and dining and tavern personnel become aware of the upcoming busy 10-day Carnival event schedule.
