Green Forest falls to Blue Eye in final outing before break

GREEN FOREST -- Green Forest dropped a 63-51 decision to Blue Eye (MO) Thursday night at Fred Grim Gym in the Tigers final game before the holiday break.

Blue Eye led 18-10 after the opening period and 33-25 at intermission. Green Forest closed the gap to 45-39 at the end of the third before being outscored 18-12 in the fourth.

Clayton Watson led the Tigers in scoring with 26 points with 10 field goals and a 6-of-8 performance from the free-throw line.

Jardyn Mullins finished with 12 points, Treyton Anderson had six, Michael Campbell finished with three and Daulton Coffey and Brandon Hogan had two each.

The Tigers finished the first half 4-13 under first-year head coach Brandon Stone.

"We made a lot of progress in the first half," Stone said of the Tigers. "We have a good opportunity to compete in our conference."
