Green Forest School Board to consider expelling five students tomorrow night
GREEN FOREST -- The Green Forest School Board has called a special meeting at 5 p.m. on Dec. 11 to consider expelling five students.
Board members will also consider a personnel matter.
Board President Bud Phillips said he had not yet been notified of the circumstances surrounding the meeting, and other board members could not be reached for comment Monday night.
The meeting will be open to the public -- though the considerations will be closed.
Arkansas law allows the board to retire into executive session to consider expulsions and matters relating to personnel. However, the law also requires the board to disclose any decision made in executive session immediately.
The meeting will be held in the Green Forest High School Library, at 800 Phillips Ave. For more information, call 870-438-5201.
