Robert Leo (Bob) Moore, a resident of Eureka Springs, AR, was born Nov. 4, 1927 in Berryville, AR, a son of F.L. and Elizabeth (Van Scyoc) Moore. He departed this life Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 in his home with family by his side in Eureka Springs, at the age of 85 years.

Bob was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and work with his mules. He was a true mule skinner. He built his own wagon for the wagon train, called "Rail Holler Mule Skinner". He and his wife Clara would take off and spend several days riding the trail back in the late 70s and 80s. Robert was always a good neighbor, quick to help out, and he could do most anything, from welding, working on dozers, rebuilding engines, saw mill work, cutting wood, working cattle and all that goes with farming. Most importantly, Bob was a family man and enjoyed every minute spending time with his family.

On Jun. 1, 1949, Bob was united in marriage with Clara Elizabeth (Edmondson) Moore who survives him of the home after more than 63 years of marriage. He is also survived by eight of their nine children and their spouses: Peggy and Steve Vowell, Vernon Moore, Randy and Roberta Moore, Terry and Marilyn Moore, Dennis and Lori Moore, Mary and Bruce Settles, Lloyd and Amy Moore, Trish and Billy Harp; two brothers, J.M. and wife Lola Moore and Roland and wife Kay Moore; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other family, friends and neighbors. He will be missed.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, F.L. and Elizabeth Moore, one son, Lonnie Moore and one sister, Mae Hudson.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Billy McCall officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Grandview Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
