Elzie Mae Ferguson, a resident of Green Forest, AR, was born Jan. 9, 1918 in Green Forest, AR, a daughter of Roscoe and LaVena (Youngblood) Butler. She departed this life Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 in her home with family by her side in Green Forest, at the age of 94 years.

Elzie was a homemaker. She attended the First Assembly of God in Green Forest.

She is survived by her children, Lola Mae and husband Joe Erwin, Charlene Jenkins, Gene Braswell and wife Juanita, Ray Ann Worley; one stepson, W.A. Ferguson, Jr. and wife Kathryn; three brothers, Bob and wife Janice Butler, George and wife Norma Butler Joe and wife Connie Butler; one sister, Mary and husband Marvin Smith; two sister-in-laws, Omagene Butler and Ina Faye Butler; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews a host of family and friends.

On Feb. 11, 1933 she was united in marriage with Charles Braswell who preceded her in death. On Aug. 3, 1969 she married W. A. Ferguson, Sr. who also preceded her in death. She is also preceded by her parents, Roscoe and La Vena Butler; two brothers, Floyd and Harvey Butler; three sons-in-law, Earnest Jenkins, Charles Worley and Jim Taylor.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at the Nelson's Green Forest Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at the First Assembly of God in Green Forest, AR with Brother Mark Bryant officiating.
