BERRYVILLE -- Southern Heights Baptist Church of Berryville will host its third annual Christmas program, "A Berryville Christmas Celebration," on Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m.

Choral groups from Southern Heights Baptist Church, Valley View Baptist Church, Grandview Baptist Church and Freeman Heights Baptist Church are coming together for the two-night performance.

The 50-person choir will include a men's ensemble that will sing "Joseph's Lullaby"; a children's choir will be featured in the song "Christmas Bells"; and a Southern gospel quartet will sing "Glory to God."

A live nativity will take place during the songs as part of the "Live Drama."

"I am very excited about this opportunity and am really hoping that we can bring in and reach more of the local community," said music director Cara Stevens. "It really is a rare thing to have so many local churches working together on such a big endeavor."

Pastor Scott Cox of Southern Heights Baptist Church is looking forward to the Christmas performance.

"It's pretty special to bring all the churches together for the joint services," he said. "It's a time to come together to worship and renew fellowship with other church members through the message of Christmas."

A reception at Freeman Heights Baptist Church will follow Sunday's performance; refreshments will be served. For more information about this program call 870-423-7042.
