Grace Lutheran hosting annual chili, pie supper tonight

Grace Lutheran Church of Holiday Island will host its annual chili and pie supper from 4 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 26. Organizers said the chili was superb and the pies were "to die for." The supper includes all the chili and soup you can eat, a piece of pie, and a drink. The cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children under 10. The proceeds from the event will go to the Merlin Foundation's "Grandma's House," which helps neglected and abused children. For more information, call Gerri Jennings at 479-253-6218.

Missourians to perform Sunday at First Christian in Eureka

The Missourians will perform at 6 p.m. on Oct. 28 at First Christian Church in Eureka Springs.

The band, comprised of five musicians and singers, is based in Joplin, Mo. They have been performing for more than twenty years and have recorded 13 albums.

Through the years, they have shared the stage with such greats as Gold City, Brian Free and Assurance, Ivan Parker, and Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers.

The group also hosts a weekly radio show called "Make Mine Southern." In all of this, they say they have only one purpose: "to share the love of Jesus through music."

Ladies of Faith set last meeting of year for Tuesday, to feature radio host

The Arkansas Ladies of Faith monthly brunch, hosted by Margo Pryor and Charlene Gates-Phillips, will have their last meeting of this year at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 at The Gazebo Restaurant in Eureka Springs. This month's special speaker will be Karen Berka of Branson, Mo., who is broadcaster of "Branson Radio Live." Berka interviews area entertainers and national celebrities on the program. She was named the Radio Broadcaster of 2012 by the Music Artist's Guild, and radio broadcaster of 2011 by SGN Scoops Magazine. This year she received her Bachelor's degree in Communication from Evangel College. Admission to the lunch is $10, to be paid at the door. Airway Chapel holds video series by Hagee

The Airway Chapel in Berryville invites the community to enjoy a series of video teachings by John Hagee at 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday. The series is about the Book of Revelation and tackles such subjects as the Tribulation and prophecy. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 870-423-3335.

GF United Baptist sets homecoming for Nov. 4

Green Forest United Baptist Church will hold its annual homecoming celebration Sunday, Nov. 4 beginning with the morning service at 9:45 a.m., potluck lunch at noon and singing and fellowship in the afternoon.
