BERRYVILLE -- Business and civic leaders and local residents gathered at the Berryville Community Center on Tuesday evening to celebrate another strong year for the Berryville Chamber of Commerce and witness the distribution of the annual Chamber awards.

The two biggest awards of the evening were Distinguished Citizens of the Year Vol and Helen Brashears and Humanitarian of the Year Robert West.

Outgoing chamber President Marty Strough of Stormrooms of America served as emcee for the event, and Berryville Ford's Heath Clary narrated an entertaining slide show on the city's history and "famous and infamous" residents and events of the past.

Catering for the evening was provided by the cooks at the Berryville Senior Activity Center, and entertainment was provided by the Berryville School District's combined choirs and the Berryville band's jazz saxophone quartet.

Outgoing chamber board members were recognized for their service and incoming board members were introduced to the audience. About 350 chamber members and guests were in attendance.

The Carroll County Farm Family of the Year, Richard and Lesa Gordon, was recognized by Carroll County Newspapers Publisher Bob Moore.

Other chamber award winners honored were:
