The Good Shepherd calendar is not like a traditional pet calendar -- it has 12 months of animals dressed to impress. Included in the calendar are cats, dogs and chicken -- yes, a chicken.
A quick preview to tickle your fancy: January features death-defying pets that jump through a hoop of fire and balance on a unicycle while juggling bones. March features Persian cats getting in touch with their spiritual side. October has a golden retriever that hunts cat ghosts in the graveyard. And for December, Great Danes wrapped like presents.
Most of the materials, photography and work on the calendar was donated by Carroll Countians.
Rescue animals were used for some of the themed monthly portraits, including the cover photo -- the cat and dog duo have since been adopted.
