Victory Tabernacle hosts singing convention

Christview offers workshop
Christview Ministries Center of Eureka Springs will offer a workshop entitled "Praying in Color and Sound" from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 13. Event organizers say the workshop will be particularly helpful for people who have trouble staying calm and focused and need a visual, concrete way to pray. Workshop leader Ellen Stephenson is a church musician trained in this unique approach to prayer, and will also perform original piano music for participants. HI Community Church to host worship service
Holiday Island Community Church will hold a praise and worship service for the community at 6 p.m. on Oct. 14 at the church fellowship hall.
Music will be provided by Kerry and Heather Hays from Cassville and the Holiday Island Community Church praise band. Pastor John Wallace will give a short message. Ladies Fellowship to hear from missionaries
The Ladies Fellowship of Holiday Island Community Church will feature Roberta Smith as their speaker at 10 a.m. on Oct. 15 in the church fellowship hall.
Smith has recently visited missionaries Paul and Mary Wilson in the Philippines and will give an update on the happenings there. She will bring with her a display of jewelry made by the women of the Philippines for perusal or purchase.

Grace Lutheran to host chili and pie supper
Grace Lutheran Church of Holiday Island will host its annual chili and pie supper from 4 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 26. Organizers said the chili was superb and the pies were "to die for." The supper includes all the chili and soup you can eat, a piece of pie, and a drink. The cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children under 10. The proceeds from the event will go to the Merlin Foundation's "Grandma's House," which helps neglected and abused children. For more information, call Gerri Jennings at 479-253-6218.
Missourians to perform at First Christian Church
The Missourians will perform at 6 p.m. on Oct. 28 at First Christian Church in Eureka Springs.
The band, comprised of five musicians and singers, is based in Joplin, Mo. They have been performing for more than twenty years and have recorded 13 albums.
Through the years, they have shared the stage with such greats as Gold City, Brian Free and Assurance, Ivan Parker, and Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers.
The group also hosts a weekly radio show called "Make Mine Southern." In all of this, they say they have only one purpose: "to share the love of Jesus through music."

Airway Chapel hosts series on Revelation
The Airway Chapel in Berryville invites the community to enjoy a series of video teachings by John Hagee at 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday. The series is about the Book of Revelation and tackles such subjects as the Tribulation and prophecy. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 870-423-3335.
