The meat and dairy goat/sheep show is Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 9 a.m. followed by the beef, dairy, swine, rabbit, poultry, sheep shows.
The other major event of the fair, the Carroll County Queen Contest, will begin at 6 p.m. today, Aug. 28. The winner of the Queens contest will advance to the Arkansas State Fair to compete at the Miss State Fair Queen pageant.
Senior day is Thursday, Aug. 30 and all seniors aged 65 and up can enter the fair free of charge. A beef and dairy cattle show will begin at 9 a.m. A talent show takes place at 6 p.m. and the winner will advance to the Arkansas State Fair.
At 9 a.m., Friday, Aug. 31, the hog and sheep show will begin, followed by the highly anticipated rodeo at 8 p.m.
Saturday's highlights are the premium livestock sale at 10 a.m.; poultry train auction at 5 p.m.; parade of champions at 7 p.m. Also included in Saturday's acitivites are the tractor driving contest at 2 p.m. and the rodeo at 8 p.m. Rodeo finals are Sunday at 2 p.m.
There are carnival rides every night until 10 p.m.
All Carroll County residents are encouraged to attend the fair. Fair admittance is free for children 12 and under; $5 for children aged 13- 18 and $7 for adults.
