GF First Baptist playground gets major facelift

A committee of parents, deacons, and the pastor recently assessed the playground area at Green Forest First Baptist Church and found it needed some help. The existing equipment was in poor shape, and pieces needed to be added.

After much planning, fund collecting, and hard work, the new playground is ready for the kids to enjoy. The new equipment includes a helicopter, a play-set with ropes, a climbing wall, swings, a slide, a chin-up bar, a clubhouse, a Little Tikes slide climber, and benches and picnic tables for children and adults. Pea gravel was added to the play area, and a new chain-linked fence was laced around the area.

The church extended thanks to the committee and to the men who worked so hard installing the equipment and fence and providing a safe place for the congregation's children.
