James, York to marry Aug. 4

Taya Flippo of Green Forest and Lance James of Goshen, along with Joe and Kelly York of Laquey, Mo.; announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Lakyn James and Nick York.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jitter & Georgia Sue Horton of Marshall; Elaine Warren of Marshall; Jerry Warren of Rogers; and Jesse and the late Mike James of Del Norte, Colo. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Dale and Polly Laffoon of Marshall; and Anne Templeton of Mountain Home.

Lakyn is a 2009 graduate of Green Forest High School. She is currently employed at Chateau on the Lake in Branson, Mo. She is a full time student at College of the Ozarks pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Richard and Sue York of Buckhorn, Mo.; and Joan and the late Bobby Quesenberry of Richland, Mo.. He is the great-grandson of Mildred and the late Clyde Posten of Crocker, Mo.; and the late Snowde and Leta Quesenberry of Richland, Mo.

Nick is a 2010 graduate of Laquey High School in Missouri. He is currently employed at the City of Waynesville Water Department in Missouri. He is a full time student at College of the Ozarks pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.

The couple will be joined in marriage at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4 at Green Forest First Assembly of God Church in Green Forest.
