HOLIDAY ISLAND -- The Holiday Island Board of Commissioners will meet Monday in work session, with several items on the agenda.
The board will discuss road closings and lane closings and how to go about notifying the public when these become necessary.
The board will hear a 2012 road paving change order request to use asphalt instead of cold patch or chip in some specific locations, said District Manager John Kennedy, based on condition of the road.
The board will also discuss the emergency alert system, capital projects and capital equipment requests for the 2013 budget, the marketing program and hear a report from the Ad Hoc Software Committee on accounting software.
Kennedy will give information on setting up a Holiday Island Foundation for property owners or others to make bequests to the community.
He will also ask the board to set a date, separate from a regular meeting, to begin discussing and hearing from the public on amenities fees and policies.
The work session will take place Monday, July 23, at 9 a.m. at the district office at 110 Woodsdale Drive and is open to the public.
