Berryville High School cheerleaders snap a group pic at cheerleading camp recently. From left in back are Leanna Wilson, Morgan Barr, Ellie Chafin, Hannah Standlee, Capt. Asia Youngblood and Jasmine Rosales. From left in front are McKinnley Flippo, Clarrisa Cox, Kylee Cox, the girls' NCA instructor, and Co-Capt. Kayleigh Johnson. The Berryville cheer squad attended cheerleading camp in Siloam Springs. Of the 10-member squad, six girls were nominated to try out for All-American: Youngblood, Johnson, Barr, Standlee, Rosales and Wilson. As a whole, the squad took home the NCA Game Time Top Award, the Spirit Stick and the Spot Award. They were also chosen for a national championship bid and to perform in the Christmas Parade that will be televised and filmed in Florida at Walt Disney World later this year. Youngblood received the Top All-American Award, given to the cheerleader with the highest score out of entire cheer camp. She was also awarded a Leadership Pin, which is given to only eight girls throughout the camp. The squad will be selling football ads to raise money for the trip to Florida this November as school gets under way this fall. Anyone interested in helping support their efforts may contact Coach Stacie Johnson at or 870-654-2986.
