Concert at Freeman Heights Baptist Sunday

BERRYVILLE -- Freeman Heights Baptist Church will host Blake Boleryjack in concert on Sunday, July 8 at 6 p.m. There will be a love offering taken.

Oak Grove Free Will hosts VBS July 16-20

Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Oak Grove is hosting Vacation Bible School July 16-20 from 9 a.m-noon for ages 4-19. Theme is Bug Zone: Transformed by Our BIG God. Fairchild to speak at Ladies of Faith brunch

BERRYVILLE -- The Berryville Alliance of Churches will be hosting its annual Vacation Bible School, Sunday through Tuesday, July 15-17. Supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. and lessons for youth in the fourth and fifth grades will be from 6-8 p.m..

VBS at GF Methodist Church July 17-20

GREEN FOREST -- The Green Forest United Methodist Church will be holding its Vacation Bible School from 6 - 8:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, from July 17-20.

This year's Bible School will have a theme: "Operation Overboard: Dare to Go Deep with God!", which explores a unique underwater universe where children will have interactive lessons of the Bible.

Children from K-5th grade are invited to attend.

Festival of Saint Anne set for July 28

BERRYVILLE -- St. Anne Church at 614 S. Main will host its "Almost Famous" tamale dinner on Saturday, July 28 at 4:30 p.m.

The dinner features red and green homemade tamales with rice, beans, dessert and drink. A 2-tamale plate is $6; a 3-tamale plate is $8; and a 4-tamale plate is $9.

There will also be a raffle for prizes with the grand prize of $2,000. Tickets will be sold in advance of the festival and winners need not be present.

The festival features a wonderland of kids games, live music and bingo for cash as well as other games.
