Marion Keith Stewart

Marion Keith Stewart, a resident of Berryville, AR, was born Dec. 29, 1938 in Berryville, AR, a son of Henry Josiah and Mattie Catherine (Denney) Stewart. He departed this life Friday, June 29, 2012 in Berryville, at the age of 73 years.

Keith was of the Pentecostal faith. He worked for Walker Sales Service Station as a mechanic, truck driver, etc. for many years. He loved spending time with his dog working on his farm doing various jobs. He was great with his hands and made many items that he was proud of, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Keith was a very loving grandfather who always took time to spend with his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing music and taught himself how to play several instruments, including the guitar, piano, fiddle, mandolin, and the harmonica.

Keith is survived by one daughter, Gloria and husband Kelly Wood of Berryville, AR; two sons, Zeke Stewart of Urbanette, AR and Zack Stewart and wife Mary of Urbanette, AR; one brother, Wayne Stewart and wife Linda of Alpena, AR; one sister, Myra and husband Leon Beal of Springdale, AR; three grandchildren, Ethan Wood and wife Allie of Berryville, AR, J.J. Wood of Berryville, AR and Hannah Faith Stewart of Urbanette, AR; one great-grandson, Gabriel Wood of Berryville, AR; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

On Jan. 3, 1960, Keith was united in marriage with Joyce Dean (Anderson) Stewart who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his parents, Henry and Mattie Stewart; four brothers, Charlie, Cleo, Melvin and Eldon Stewart; and one sister, Wanda Johnson.

Visitation was held from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service was 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Brother Larry Montgomery officiating. Interment followed the service in the Yocum Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
