David Fredrick Bennett

David Fredrick Bennett, a resident of Berryville, AR, was born Feb. 22, 1948 in Eureka, CA, a son of Fred H. and Jean E. (Hood) Bennett. He departed this life Friday, June 15, 2012 in Bella Vista, AR at the age of 64.

David proudly served his Country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a highly decorated Veteran. He served as a Foreign Missionary in the Republic of Vanuatu of Tanna Island for the last 20 years. He attended the Northside Missionary Baptist Church in Berryville.

He is survived by two daughters, Anita Tillett and husband John of Kentucky; Donna Moore and husband Paul of Michigan; son, Tavita "Sam" Bennett and wife Ashley of Texas; two sisters, Bonnie Patterson and husband Pat of Idaho; Peggy Dewar and husband James of Montana; grandchildren, Chris Tillett, Anna Tillett, Jessica Tillett, Jordan Moore, Jesse Moore, Juston Moore and Joshua Moore; niece Heather Nelson of Montana.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Warren Rainwater, Larry Clements, Lynn Raburn, Scotty Nalley, Navy Chaplin Terry Bewley speaking. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
