Local Karate Club chops competition at 35th annual Genbui-kai in Kansas

Members of the Berryville Community Center Karate Club traveled to Kansas to participate in the Genbui-Kai karate tournament, bringing back numerous trophies. Sensei (teacher) Fred Anderson, Mike Ledesma and Ron Flake assisted judging for the tournament. There were a total of over 200+ participants in the annual tournament representing nine states and Canada. Fumino Demura, sensei, well-known karate instructor and film star was present, traveling from California to serve as lead instructor. He is founder of Genbui-Kai.
