Monday, June 18, 2012

BERRYVILLE -- Janell Robertson recently accepted the position of assistant executive director of Carroll County Community Foundation, a local affiliate office of Arkansas Community Foundation.

"We are lucky to have found someone with such impressive professional credentials," said Heather Larkin, ARCF president and CEO. "Janell's communications expertise makes her the ideal person to help lead our outreach efforts in Carroll County. We're confident she'll be an outstanding advocate for the community foundation."

Robertson previously worked for regional and national advertising agencies and has owned her own advertising, marketing and design firm since 1989. She also worked as art director and marketing director for New Leaf Press & Master Books, a national publishing company.

She holds a bachelor's degree in public relations and communications from Missouri State University in Springfield. Robertson also works closely with the Green Forest School District's Character Education Program and Renaissance Program.

She is a past board member of the Green Forest Library and a current volunteer for Studio G, a club for girls ages 13 to 18 that encourages self respect and positive relationships with others.

Arkansas Community Foundation makes grants to improve the quality of life in our state and collaborates with individuals, families and organizations to build local communities through philanthropy.

ARCF ended fiscal year 2011 with more than $150 million in assets and has provided more than $90 million in grants since it began operation in 1976. Contributions to ARCF, its funds and any of its 27 local affiliate offices are fully tax deductible.
