GREEN FOREST -- New Leaf Publishing of Green Forest donated more than $500 worth of books to the Carroll County Learning Center's new library on Friday, May 18.

"These books will benefit Carroll County Learning Center's Preschool for ages 3 to 5," said Karen Johnson, Learning Center librarian. "We are starting a library in our center that will be accessible to our students, parents and staff members. Students will come each week to the library for story time and then get to check out a book they can keep in their classroom for one week."

She said the Learning Center also will house a parent resource section for parents and a young adult section for the clients in their adult program.

"We are always looking for donations of clean, hardback books that will be appropriate for our students, parents, and staff," Johnson said.

Anyone who would like to make a book donation or money contribution to purchase books should contact Johnson at the Carroll County Learning Center, 870-423-2657 or 423-6122.
