Eureka Springs Rotary selects March Student of the Month

Jacob Lackey, son of Michelle Richey and the late Charles Hall Parker, has been named the March 2012 Student of the month by the Eureka Springs Rotary. Jacob, a senior at Eureka Springs High School, is Secretary of the Student Council, Vice-President of the Young Democrats and a member of the Foreign Language Club. He is also a member of the Arvest Junior Bank Board. Jacob led the Student Committee chosen to help select the new Eureka Springs Superintendent. While taking advanced placement courses in Biology, Calculus, English and United States History, he has maintained a 3.6 GPA. After the Joplin tornado last year, Jacob volunteered to help with the cleanup. He enjoys acting and has worked for the Great Passion Play during the last two summers. Jacob was recently named the Holiday Island Elks Student of the Year. He plans to attend college next year and pursue a major in creative writing with a minor in theatre.
