GF Tigers take 1, 2 at district track meet

GREEN FOREST -- Both Green Forest track teams did extremely well at the 3A-1W District Track Meet last Thursday in Green Forest, But it was the Lady Tigers who came out on top taking first place, while the Tigers placed a respectable second. Girls qualified in 17 event and boys qualified in five events for the state meet Thursday, May 3 in Prescott.

Girls events and qualifiers: Khelsea Bean and Harleigh Andrews in the 400 m, Macy Reed in the 800 m, Sarah Rincon in the 1600 and 3200 m, Jessie Kilbourn in the 100 and 300 m hurdles and the discus, Emily Glassell in the 100 m hurdles and high jump, the 4x100, 4x400, and 4x800 relay teams, Kenley Williams and Kim Bernal in the pole vault,Francella Villeunava in the long jump, and Katelyn goodman in the triple jump.

Boys events and qualifiers: Martin Maravillas in the 1600 and 3200 m, Clayton Watson and Alex Lafarga in the 110 m hurdles, Kolby Burnett in the high jump and triple jump, and Dalton Ewing in the discus.
