US. Hwy. 62 widening

Friday, March 30, 2012

Work has begun on the U.S. Hwy. 62 widening project west of Berryville that was first announced nearly three years ago when residents were invited to share their comments regarding the proposed route. Now that utilities have been moved out of the way, construction has begun to widen 2.8 miles, from Brashears Furniture in Berryville to the Outpost west of town. The project calls for curbs, gutters, green space and sidewalks on each side from Brashears to the Ozark Guidance Center, then open shoulders the remainder of the way to the Outpost. Also included is a traffic signal in front of Walmart.

  • Bingo, Wal-Mart. This state has some horribly dangerous roads, like where 45 crosses 412 and yet this project is pushed forward. Does Wal-Mart pay for this?
