Bobcat baseball team runs into brick walls

Berryville's Justus Summers readies a breaking ball for delivery against the Wolves from Lincoln.

BERRYVILLE -- The Berryville Bobcat baseball team is sitting at 3 -- 6 at this point in the season.

The past three games -- two home and one away -- has been akin to slamming into a brick wall... or three as in this case.

On March 13th the diamond Cats hit brick wall number one -- Springdale's Shiloh Christian. The game was over in three innings with a score of 22 -- 0. Reportedly one player tweeted that "we played a college team."

Ball beats runner. Runner out. Berryville first baseman Ben Hale stretches for the put out against Lincoln.

Last Thursday, the Bobcats hit brick wall number two -- the Lincoln Wolves. The final in the game was 16 -- 1. The game ended with a pick-off of a runner on first.

Brick wall number three came at the South-Nemo Classic played at Bee Branch/Nemo Vista. The Bobcats lost to Conway Christian 11 -- 1.
