James Harlen McMillion
James Harlen McMillion, a resident of Berryville, AR, was born Aug. 26, 1921 in Kingston, AR, a son of William Hampton and Lucinda Carolina Suzanna (Mitchell) McMillion. He departed this life Friday, Mar. 2, 2012 in his home in Berryville, at the age of 90 years.
James proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War. He was a career United States Military Soldier.
On Oct. 4, 1963, James was united in marriage with Okhui Nam who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one daughter, JoAnn Griesenauer and former husband Daniel Paul Griesenauer; three grandchildren, Sgt. Eric Scott Griesenauer and wife Kyri of Berryville, AR, Sean Christian Griesenauer and wife Tandel of Harrison, AR and Courtney Esprite Griesenauer of Las Vegas, NV; three great-grandchildren, Maddux Christian James Griesenauer, Rachel Jo Griesenauer and Noah Addison Griesenauer; three nephews, Bill Foster, Ronnie Foster and Glen Clawson; one niece, Bonnie Evans; several other relatives and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, William Hampton and Lucinda Carolina Suzanna (Mitchell) McMillion; one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 6, 2012 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 7, 2012 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Alan Brown officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
