Health grants available

Wednesday, February 15, 2012

LITTLE ROCK -- The Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas is accepting applications for $1,000 mini-grants to organizations to implement health improvement programs in Arkansas.

Any public charity, public school, government agency or nonprofit hospital in Arkansas is eligible to apply. Grants are not made to individuals. The grant may be used for general operational or specific program support, either for an existing or new program.

Funds must be used in an effort that produces some positive health outcome for Arkansans.

"In addition to our regular grants of $5,000 to $150,000, this mini-grant program allows more organizations to receive financial assistance, using a simpler application and quicker funding," said Patrick O'Sullivan, executive director of the Blue & You Foundation.

Applications for mini-grants will be accepted in the months of February, April and June, with 25 mini-grants allotted for each of the three months, for a total of 75 grants.

Applicants will be notified of mini-grant awards within approximately 30 days.

For more information, call Patrick O'Sullivan at (501) 378-2221

Information about the grants and the online application submission process can be found at www.BlueAndYouFoundationArkansas.org.
