The Berryville Bobcats were at home on Tuesday night when they took to the mat against Gentry and Mountain View.

The Bobcats were missing a few wrestlers but still managed to execute and finish the night with a final score of 54.

Gentry took first with a 72 and Mountain View tallied 42.

Dalton Jacobs finished the night 2-0, bringing his season resume to 13-2.

Joel Sipes -- 2-2; Alec Jones -- 1-1; Selvin Reyes -- 1-1; Forest Usrey -- 1-1; Tyler Coatney -- 0-2; Emory Mayfield -- 0-2; Tristan Payne -- 1-1; Ross Morton -- 1-1; Ryan Green -- 0-2; Hunter Rivett -- 0-1.

The Cats defeated Gentry 15-11 on Jan. 17.

Up next is the state tournament in Little Rock on Feb. 10-11.

The team will wrestle up to 5A.

"Gentry is a very good team," head coach Dusty Clark said. "They are very experienced and are only two years removed from a state title."

Coming out competing and improving every day is priority one for the team.

"Our goal every year is to medal at the state tournament and compete for a state title," Clark added.

This marks the second year for the Berryville wrestling program, which currently has wrestlers awaiting training to make the jump to the more competitive high school level.
