Junior spelunker

Makayla Packard, on the shoulders of family friend Robert Phillips, of Green Forest, made it all the way to the back of the cave at the end of the Eden Falls Trail in the Buffalo River National Park on Saturday. It's a wet trip back there, at times forcing visitors to crawl on hands and knees. Their reward is a 200-foot waterfall and a glimpse of bats at the top of the cave, if the flashlight's beam can reach that far. Makayla was visiting the park with her parents, Amanda and Dannel Packard of Berryville.
