Bobcats go crazy from beyond the line in win
Head coach Brent Compton took his senior boys to Yellville on Saturday and emerged victorious as they defeated the Panthers 77-66.
"We went there to play and play well," head coach Brent Compton said.
And play well they did.
The Bobcats shot a ridiculous 61 percent from beyond the arc, finishing the game14-for-23.
Austin Carr really connected from downtown as he made 30 of his 34 points from beyond the line.
Carr finished the game with 34 points and four rebounds.
The team was able to capitalize on the offensive production as well as keep the Panthers in check for most of the game.
Communication and team chemistry really allowed for the team to secure the victory.
The Bobcats had three different players finish in double digits, a credit to the hard work and determination of the team, according to Compton.
Alex Dowdle -- 21 points and eight rebounds; Donnie Hoppe -- 14 points, and seven assists; Austin Lehr -- three points and three assists; Matt Manley -- three points and two assists; Adam Sugg -- two points, two rebounds and four assists and Jeff Adams finished with five rebounds and two assists.
Communication and ball movement allowed for a high level of execution, which the team converted into points.
Building chemistry and trust will be crucial as the team looks to emphasize the offensive production from throughout the roster.
The senior boys play Elkins at home on Friday.
Compton said that he was happy with the team's effort and is excited to see how the team comes together in the coming weeks.
