Berryville choir members perform at All Region Clinic

Tuesday, November 15, 2011

Seven members of the Berryville choirs participated in the All Region Clinic at Springdale High School that incorporated the best singers in the northwest region including schools like Springdale, Har-Ber, Fayetteville, Harrison, Bentonville, Siloam Springs, Rogers and more.

The choirs were directed by some of the premier directors in the state, with the exception of the Senior High Mixed Choir which was directed by Dr. Gemmell from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

The students auditioned at earlier dates in order to qualify to participate in this event.

Out of the 1,700-plus students that auditioned, 550 qualified to participate in the event.

This is a great honor, say choir experts, especially in one of the toughest regions in the state of Arkansas.

The students participated in different groups according to their placement within the region.

The students that qualified for High School Treble choir were Meaghan Scholtens and Joy Duran.

The students that qualified for the top choir in junior high were Alexis Saldivar and Aubree Snow, with Alexis placing second in her tryout room and Aubree 13th in her room. The Junior High Treble choir included students Yoslin Roque, Hannah Bien, and Stephanie Kahler.
