Wayne Clark (left), treasurer of the First Presbyterian Church of Berryville, shook hands with Glenn Williams, executive director of the Carroll County Community Foundation, after handing him a check for $50,000 to establish a trust fund to benefit charities and the church.

The First Presbyterian Church of Berryville, despite having closed its doors, is continuing its ministry in perpetuity by establishing a trust fund in the amount of $50,000 with the Carroll County Community Foundation.

Returns on the fund will be distributed annually on an equal basis to Loaves and Fishes and Project Self Esteem, along with a 10 percent tithe to the Presbytery of Arkansas.

The presentation took place earlier this week when Wayne Clark, treasurer of the church, handed the check to Glenn Williams, executive director of the Carroll County Community Foundation, while both were at a Rotary meeting.
