The Carroll County Music Group will have a lunch meeting at the Back Porch restaurant, located next to the Island Motel, on 5 Woodsdale Drive in Holiday Island at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.

CCMG is very pleased to announce that their music program will be provided by Thomas Chun-Yu Chen. This is the same Thomas Chun-Yu Chen who provided an outstanding CICA Summer Music Festival at the Eureka Springs Auditorium this summer. He brought the Summer Festival to Eureka Springs to inspire children and encourage parents to provide music education for their children. Chen will provide a demonstration of the Suzuki method with videos and children.

Chen is the director and conductor of Youth Honors Symphony Orchestra and director of the Suzuki program at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. He is a violin instructor at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville. He conducts and performs as a violin soloist with chamber ensembles and orchestras in numerous countries.

The public is invited and very welcome. Space is limited and reservations are requested to be placed by Sept. 9. For more information about CCMG or to place a reservation, call Mary Dolce, (479) 253-4939 by Friday, Sept. 9.
