Letter to the Editor - President's proclamation ignores dangers, sin

Tuesday, July 12, 2011

Dear Editor,

Once again, this year President Obama officially proclaimed June as '' Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender'' pride month.

The President really makes this proclamation sound good, right and just, but is it?

It's interesting in his proclamation he makes the statement his administration is dedicated to fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic which in his words "has a profound impact" on the BGT communities. That statement is astonishing, he sees the issue, but does he truly not realize, or is he just refusing to accept that the LBGT lifestyle is the primary reason for the epidemic! The LBGT lifestyle is a very dangerous and unhealthy lifestyle, both physically and spiritually, this has been documented and is easily recognized for anyone who is honest enough and not to politically correct to admit it.

He also stated the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act. Does he not know that in that case it was finally revealed that the guys that did that terrible thing in dragging him behind the pick up truck didn't even know he was gay after all? That's something that our national media has been strangely silent about.

He also makes the statement ... "Because we recognize that LGBT rights are human rights,'' if only he felt the same way about the unborn baby living inside the womb! What about their human rights?

He also made this statement ... "my Administration has mobilized unprecedented public commitments from countries around the world to join in the fight against hate and homophobia." So it has come to this, if we believe it's wrong and immoral, dangerous and unhealthy, we are full of hate and are homophobic? Just because we believe something is wrong, does not make us "a phobic." A phobia is a fear of something. I also believe stealing is wrong, does that make me "Stealophobic"? Or murder is wrong, am I Murderophobic?

Most still even believe adultery is wrong, are we all just hateful and Adultophobics? Not so.

The bottom line is this ... in this age of moral relativism and moral decay in our culture, anyone who believes the Biblical directive that human sexuality is a gift from God, to be shared between man and wife within the bonds of marriage, is branded "homophobic," "hateful" or "discriminatory." They are to be silenced by all means possible.

The president I think truly believes he is doing the right thing in trying to promote the gay agenda. But in doing so he is ignoring the facts of the dangerous side of the lifestyle. Along with Hollywood, the entertainment industry, some churches, and even some public schools, he is driven to force it upon the nation like it or not. He and his like try to make it the equivalent to the fights of the African American community in the past. There is no comparison, we have yet to see any black person cease "to be black", they are truly 'born black". Being black never presented any health risks or diseases like the gay community, unless you consider being killed simply due to the color of your skin, which was terribly wrong and thankfully we have repented from that, moved on and are a better nation now. There has been no "gene" found to prove gays are born that way. Social factors, the breakdown of the family, child abuse and the fact that we are telling kids at an earlier age than ever to experiment with their sexuality and it's just an alternate lifestyle, are all contributing factors to the gay lifestyle. You can even teach a 5-year-old stealing is not wrong, I have seen it more than once through my years working in the retail business, catching parents and their very small children stealing, the kids were taught it wasn't wrong, very sad. However thousands of gays have repented and come out of that dangerous lifestyle through help from the wonderful Christian ministries of Exodus International and other ministries. Funny thing is the gay community who always cries "tolerance'' is not the least bit tolerant of ex-gays.

There is tremendous pressure on those of us that still believe that homosexuality and gay marriage is wrong to just accept it and go along. The problem is the LBGT community is not content with the "live and let live'' philosophy anymore, they are determined to force their lifestyle onto the society as a normal, healthy lifestyle not only to be accepted, but be celebrated, and by all of us, whether we agree or not. It is being flaunted in our face more and more, trying to convince us, especially our children, that the lifestyle is normal and healthy.

This is evident in TV shows like Glee, and also evident with retailers like Home Depot and Old Navy who currently sponsor and support the LBGT movement financially, with their final goal to overturn marriage. It is one thing to be diverse but it is yet quite another to financially support, from the hard earned money of their customers, a unhealthy and dangerous lifestyle. Home Depot sponsors and even sets up booths in Gay Pride parades and hands out homosexual literature to children! If you have never seen a Gay Pride parade, particularly at night, you would be shocked, it is some of the most vile and disgusting stuff you can imagine.

I want to be clear, I don't hate gays, I don't mistreat gays, I don't wish any misfortune on them, and I would stop to help a gay person fix their flat tire as I would anyone else, yes Jesus Christ loves all people, and we should, but wrong is still wrong and God has not changed, we as a society have, and not for the better in many ways. The scriptures clearly state in multiple places that homosexuality is wrong and sinful. Yes there are many other sins, but the difference is this one is being forced on society as a good thing, with special laws being passed to silence any opposition. For America it really boils down to this, who knows best how a society should behave? Is it man, whose morals and beliefs can change at every whim? Or is it the creator of the universe and creator of our souls? I don't think a lifestyle that's so dangerous, unhealthy and immoral should be forced upon America, especially by our President.
