McKineth Louis McCubbin

McKineth Louis McCubbin, 89, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011 in Bentonville, AR. He was born to Clate Ross and Janie Lovine Keys McCubbin in Imboden, AR on November 25, 1921. He married Bonnie Lea Mosby on August 8, 1948 in Columbia, MO. He graduated from Hickman High School and later served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Missouri. He retired from Amoco Oil. Ken was an active member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.

Ken is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Sherman and husband Jeff of Holiday Island, AR; Jacalyn Burdette and husband William of Hartland, WI; four grandchildren, Patrick and Matthew Burdette, Melissa and Wyatt Sherman; his siblings Howard Abdial McCubbin, Kathryn Louise Ward, Clyde Harrison McCubbin, J.C. McCubbin, Ruth Alberta Ketchum, Jimmy Russell McCubbin, Billy Leroy McCubbin, Virginia Lee Hinten and Richard Dean McCubbin.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Lea McCubbin; his parents, his siblings Gershom Phillip, Aquila Ella and Silas Everett.

Private interment will be in the National Cemetery in Springfield, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to National Association of Hearing or Susan G.
