Jesse Denver "J.D." Parker, Jr.
Jesse Denver "J.D." Parker, Jr., a resident of Berryville, AR, was born March 10, 1944 in the Loy Community (Madison County) Kingston, AR, a son of Jesse Denver Sr. and Nettie (Ward) Parker. He departed this life Thursday, April 21, 2011 in Fayetteville, at the age of 67 years.
J.D. was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing, wood working and having music parties with family and friends.
On February 15, 1964, J.D. was united in marriage with Hazel June Fultz who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two sons, Jeffrey Dean Parker and Patti and Jimmy Don Parker and Robin all of Berryville, AR; one daughter, Norma Cross of Berryville, AR; three sisters, Noreen Teague of Elkins, AR, Elnora Martin of Lowell, AR and Reba Bolinger of Kingston, AR; two brothers, Jim Parker and Otis Parker, both of Huntsville, AR; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Nettie Parker; three brothers, Keith Parker, Melvin Parker and Austin Glen Parker.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Tom Wilson and Reverend Jerry Spurlock officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Gobbler Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
