Easter egg hunt activites planned across county

Towering Oaks Church has scheduled its "Huge Egg Hunt" with more than 10,000 eggs, for Good Friday, April 22, with a family movie at 5:30 p.m. followed by the egg hunt at 6:30 p.m.

The hunt will include "special eggs" donated by a dozen or more area businesses.

Harvest Assembly in Oak Grove is also promising more than 10,000 eggs for its hunt, set for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23. Harvest is located one-half mile west of Ark. Hwy. 103 on Hwy. 21. Call (870) 749-2750 for more information.

Southern Heights Baptist Church is hosting its hunt on Saturday, April 23 at 10 a.m. They say there will be prizes, prizes, prizes for children in four age groups: two-and-under; three-to-four; five-to-seven; and eight and older.

Participating families are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Loaves and Fishes Food Bank.

The church is located on Ark. Hwy. 221 South in Berryville.

Autumn Hill nursing home in Berryville is hosting its annual community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 23 at 10 a.m.

Children in three age groups through 12 years are invited to participate. Organizers say there will be an Easter bunny, door prizes and giveaways.

Autumn Hill is located on Hammond Avenue, behind the hospital in Berryville. For more information, call (870) 423-6966.

The town of Alpena is hosting its first-ever "Easter Egg Hunt Event" beginning at noon on Saturday, April 23 at the Alpena Community Center.
