HI Board to discuss selling unsold lots

Friday, March 18, 2011

HOLIDAY ISLAND -- In its upcoming work session Monday, the Holiday Island Board of Commissioners will hold a further discussion on marketing unsold inventory lots.

The board heard a marketing report in January from Vernon Anderson of the independent citizen marketing committee.

It also heard specific proposals and ideas last month from local stakeholders, such as the Holiday Island and Eureka Springs Chambers of Commerce.

Along with its discussion, District Manager Kevin Crosson said he will bring forward a proposal that gives current property owners incentives for making referrals that result in the sale of a residential lot.

Such incentives could include a dollar amount credit to be used for amenity cards, the annual assessment or utility bills.

Also on the agenda will be a discussion of safety and security issues at the driving range and a final report from the Deer Advisory Committee as well as future direction on the deer problem.

The meeting will be held March 21 at 9 a.m. at the district office at 110 Woodsdale Drive.

The public is invited to attend.
