Cornerstone board welcomes new member

Chad Allen has been appointed to Cornerstone Bank's Berryville Board of Directors.

Allen, a lifelong resident of Berryville, is the vice president of financial services at Carroll Electric Cooperative in Berryville where he oversees the financial integrity of Carroll Electric Cooperative Corporation by managing its financing resources and investments. Allen has been with Carroll Electric for the past 14 years.

"He is someone who is very familiar with the citizenry of the Eastern District of Carroll County and we feel confident he will provide tremendous guidance and stewardship to our institution" said Charles T. Cross, president and CEO of Cornerstone Bank.

Allen is a 1992 graduate of Berryville High School and 1996 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a BBA in accounting. He is a member and former president of the Arkansas Electric Cooperatives Accountants' Association.

Allen and his wife Larissa, who is a second-grade teacher at Berryville Elementary, and their three sons, Drew, Ty and Nate live in Berryville and are active in the Green Forest Church of Christ.

Allen is an avid golfer and community volunteer for youth athletics, including basketball, baseball, and football.
