Public water board vote precinct breakdown

Slightly more than 15 percent of Carroll County's 14,047 registered voters cast ballots in the Feb. 8 special election to vote down a Public Facilities Board. Only 2,155 votes were cast, with 1,285 voting against the PFB and 869 in favor.

* Berryville had 12 percent turnout, with 183 For votes and 69 Against.

* Prairie, Cabanal and Kings River precincts tallied 213 For, 169 Against.

* Eureka Springs, Wards 1, 2, and 3, has 1,592 registered voters, 190 of whom cast votes -- 172 Against, 18 For. Fewer than 12 percent of ES voters turned out.

* In Johnson Springs, Packard Springs and Winona, out of 1,905 voters, 21 percent of voters (403) were 367 Against and 36 For.

* Green Forest, which has 864 registered voters, saw a 6.5 percent turnout, 37 For and 19 Against.

* In Hickory, Coin and Long Creek precincts, almost ten percent of 1,433 voters tallied 97 For and 41 Against.

* More than 27 percent of Beaver's 342 voters turned out, and of 93 votes cast, 89 were Against and 4 were For.

* Carrollton was split almost evenly, 18 Against and 16 For, with slightly more than 10 percent voting.

* Dry Fork's 27 ballots out of 140 voters were 10 Against, 17 For.

* Holiday Island has 1,945 registered voters, and cast 12 percent, or 233 votes, with Against garnering 87 percent -- 202 Against and 31 For.

* Liberty cast 28 ballots, 18 For and 10 Against.

* North Yocum had close to 10 percent of its 283 voters go 17 For and 9 Against.

* Omega's 21 percent turnout tallied 34 Against and 21 For.

* Osage has 178 voters, 35 who showed up to the polls to split it up 21 For and 14 Against.

* Piney's 23 percent of voters registered 80 percent (24) For the PFB and six voters Against it.

* Polo's 25 percent of registered voters was second only to Beaver's, with 93 For and 49 Against.

* South Yocum had 31 of 209 voters cast ballots, 23 For and 8 Against.
